THE PROBLEM:
How to Actualize the Idea

I have a great idea but I am worried about how to present it.

Will people like it?

Will I be able to present the information correctly?

I get these questions all the time and there is a simple answer...

The faster you start the sooner you grow.

I used to wait for days before taking an idea and starting to write an article or make a video and this ended up holding me back.

Content creation has become an essential skill for individuals and businesses alike. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a seasoned marketer, or simply someone with a story to tell, understanding the process of transforming ideas into tangible content or digital products is crucial.

The Problem:

Most people don't know where or how to get started so great ideas get wasted in the waiting period.

The solution is to follow a simple process to run your ideas through and produce quality consumable content on the other side faster.

ORGANIZATION:
Effective Content Idea Organization

You start anything with an idea. This initial stage is all about brainstorming, and exploring various concepts.

Ideas can come from anywhere: personal experiences, current events, industry trends, or even casual conversations with friends. The key is to remain open and receptive to inspiration.

I recommend keeping a note in your phone or on your laptop for ideas only.

Don't just pick 1 idea but jot down 25 to start with. These ideas will then give you more ideas and over time will form into many pieces of content.

Let's say you are in the Music teaching space.

Start by writing down 25 topics music related that you can converse naturally about.

Example: Music reading, writing, How I learn a song, How I write a song, Best places to find ...

The more ideas you write down here the easier it will be to create content from them.

IDEA GENERATION:
The Pen to Paper Phase

With a promising idea in hand, it's time to start fleshing it out. This "pen to paper" phase is where you begin to give structure and substance to your concept.

Start by outlining the main points or sections of your content If you're writing an article, this might involve creating a rough draft or a detailed outline. For a video project, you might begin storyboarding or scripting.

The goal here is to transform your abstract idea into a concrete plan of action.

Don't worry about perfection at this stage – focus on getting your thoughts down and organizing them in a logical flow. This is also the time to conduct any necessary research to support your content, gathering facts, statistics, or expert opinions that will lend credibility to your work. As you write or sketch out your ideas, you may find that your original concept evolves or takes unexpected turns. This is ok and a part of the process.

Most of my initial ideas never end up exactly the way they started at the end but that is how I get them targeted to what my audience is looking for vs. what I am thinking I want to create.
