THE PROBLEM
Everyone Has Good Ideas
The problem with most people is they have great ideas but nowhere to actualize them. Transforming an idea into a tangible action plan requires a structured approach.
1. Begin by brainstorming and mind mapping to explore the concept in detail. Identify the key components, potential challenges, and potential rewards.
This is the piece of the puzzle I wish I spent more time on. I started 5 brands with 5 messages before I finally figured it out for myself. The time I wasted was years not days or months because I would keep going back to the drawing board over and over then needing to change website, emails, products, and re build an audience over again.
If you spend the right amount of time on simply defining your
- Audience
- Their needs
- Your skills
- and how you can practically solve those needs over time
You will have %90 of the puzzle done and the rest is just building the products and crafting the content around the products.
In the next section we will go over a Mind map and a blueprint of how to solve this puzzle for yourself.
Sample Mind Map
CHOOSE YOUR DIGITAL PRODUCTS:
E-books
Online Courses
Templates (Design, Marketing, etc.
Software (Apps, Plugins
Digital Art (Graphics, Photography
Music, Podcasts, Videos
CHOOSE YOUR CONTENT CREATION CHANNELS:

Vlogging

Podcasting
Repeat this process for your content topics, marketing outlets, and so on as you build out your brand.
Set "Target Audience" Goals
How do you define your goals and objectives clearly for your digital business idea. This will provide a roadmap for your project.
Start by defining your exact goals for your audience. Don't worry about your goals right now it is all about your audience.
- What do you want your audience to learn from your products or content?
Example: I want my audience to learn how to write clearly in 1 hour a day.
- How will you teach your audience this information?
Example: I will produce short videos and digital PDFs to share.
Take the necessary time to really figure this out and think it through. If you spend the time to do this right you will save yourself months of frustration if you need to switch your message.
A good rule is to start with a few topics and then narrow them down into 1 or 2 main foundation topics.
These topics are the core of your brand. For me, these topics are Digital Business and Creator Economy.
Set a Basic Content Creation Program
Set up a basic content creation plan before creating any products
At the beginning, your content is more important than your products. You can spend months creating and designing products but if you are not cultivating an audience along the way you will have no one to sell those products to.
This is the balance that is the most important to attain early on between content creation and working on your website/ digital products to monetize.
I will tell you to budget your time for %75 content creation and %25 digital product creation. If you master this process you can successfully launch a new product in 90 days while you have an audience following you because of your content.
Remember that your ideal audience is out there but they have to know who you are and trust you before they will buy from you. They will not see your digital products in the beginning but will see your content you are sharing before anything else.
As you create your free content around your digital product ideas you can help your audience start solving problems while you are learning how to put your first product together. This is a win-win for you and your audience and a big time saver .
If you follow these 3 simple things in the beginning you will save yourself months of time wasted and stagnant growth. Don't worry about monetizing in the beginning if you don't have an audience it won't make a bit of difference .
When you get great at matching your free content to your digital product outcomes and then to your audience's problem you will have figured out how to make more sales over time naturally.
